State of the Young Child Symposium

The 3nd annual State of the Young Child Symposium and Luncheon sponsored by the Healthy Start Council will be held at St. Patrick’s Hospital Conference Center on Wednesday April 16th.

The event will be held from 11:30 AM –1:30 PM. Featured speakers are Lieutenant Governor John Bohlinger and Dr. Anne Manktelow. Other speakers will address fulltime kindergarten, United Way’s Missoula Kids Matter initiative, the School Readiness Team, and the Kids Mill Levy for Substance Abuse Prevention.

Thanks to Saint Patrick’s Hospital and Health Sciences Center for providing lunch and space for the event! Cost to attend is only a $3 registration fee. Display tables and limited child care are available. Participants must RSVP to Susan Barmeyer.

Montana Women Vote is now ramping up its 2008 voter registration, education and mobilization efforts. We have local steering committees and volunteers organizing outreach to unlikely women voters in Bozeman, Billings, Great Falls, Helena, Missoula and Ravalli County.
